Hello welcome everyone my name is Susan Sullivan and I am joined by my colleague, Nicole Shay Hello. Everyone we are both members of the admissions committee here at Columbia Business School. Thank you for joining us today. We are going to be giving an overview of the Ember Global program and talking about our application process. Now you'll notice on the screen. There is a chat box, so as we go through the web and R.
If questions come up feel free to type in your questions on the Colby answering them as quickly as she can, but please. Do keep in mind that there's a lot more of you than there are of her so she'll get to as many as she can some of your questions. We may hang on to to address verbally toward the end of the web and R and if there's anything that wasn't answered or if any questions come up afterwards. We're going to send you an email at the end that will have.
Both our email addresses, so feel free to reach out to us later we want to make sure all your questions are answered.
Here are the topics that were going to touch on today to give you a good idea of how this program works first will talk about the benefits of our partnerships. These 3 major business schools will get into the details of program content in the admissions process and will touch on fees and financial aid. So let's get started with the details. Colon handing it over you excellent thanks season. I'll start off by talking about what is Amber global so this is the opportunity?
To study globally and earn your MBA so you have the option of the Ember Global America's in Europe program where you would study jointly at London Business School and Columbia Business School and then we have the Ember Global Asia program where you would take classes at London Business School, Columbia and Hong Kong University.
So the similarities of the 2 programs. They're both in a block week format which means you will have classes typically from Tuesday through Saturday, or Wednesday through Saturday, one week, every month and the duration is 20 months. This will be 5. Full terms and it starts in May of each year and then as you can see, there are a few differences.
Obviously with the Americans in Europe, you are studying at one in Business School in Colombia and kind of sliding your time, 5050 between the 2:00 and then with the Amber Global Asia. You are studying in Hong Kong, London, New York and you spend a week in Shanghai.
OK, I would like to give you a little background here back in 2000. That was the year when Ourimbah Global Americans in Europe program was started at the time both Columbia Business School and London Business School were feeling a need for a truly global Emba program. We have looked around, the market and seen that. Other schools offered a few internationally focused cases, maybe a brief trip abroad and we thought that wasn't really enough.
We wanted to create a more experiential an book program, one in which students would be able to complete an MBA while spending a significant amount of time and residents in major international business hubs and still maintain their career momentum so.
We happen to reach out to each other and found that would be ideal partners because both L BS and CBS had academically strong. Amber programs with strong brand recognition worldwide, which was important, and also the faculty at both the schools are renowned thought leaders with deep connections to Top level international business communities. We wanted to give our students that that network so like I say it began in 2000.
Was going great and then in 2009. We decided to make it even more global by adding Asian to the mix and we partnered with Hong Kong University, which is renowned for its research and hands on knowledge of Asian markets and economies making RN but global programs. The first executive MBA program to have a presence on 3 continents. Now here I want to just point out a few examples of faculty members.
Real world impact on the upper left corner sort of superimposed on the Brooklyn Bridge is a photo of Sheena Iyengar. She's a Columbia Business School professor her research focuses on choice and the cultural individual and situational factors that influence people's decision making processes her research has covered everything from employee motivation at Citigroup to chocolate displays at Godiva. If you want to know more about her work I recommend her book.
The art of choosing then on the lower right. I don't know what that bridges, but it's in London. That's a photo of Linda Grant.
From the L BS, she's a professor there who's been identified as one of the Top 50 sinkers in Business Today. Her research is fascinating. It focuses on the future of work in the rapidly changing business environment. I would really recommend her book. The shift the future of work is already here and examines the ways in which technology globalization demographics. Societal changes are profoundly affecting the working place.
So these are the This is the caliber of People who will be teaching your classes but I can't emphasize enough that a lot of your learning is going to come from your fellow classmates because we bring in a class of sophisticated high achieving Top performers who come from a variety of industries from every corner of the globe.
So, like Susan mentioned you are going to be joining an extremely powerful network. This is the snapshot of that truly global network that Susan just reference that you will be apart of there's 450 for faculty from 30 countries teaching among the 3:00 schools and most of these faculties have worked in multiple countries during their career.
You will also have the access to 130 alumni clubs for a wide and the Americas. The Emma Global program is particularly close knit because you live together during your block weeks. So these alums tend to remain very engaged kind of throughout their careers and the rest of their lives and then you have life long access to the very influential and global alumni network for both C DS.
And L BS for the Americans in Europe program within astounding 86,000 alums worldwide or if you join the American Global Asia program. You will have access to over 100,000 alarms across Columbia Business School, London Business School and Hong Kong University.
So here's a side by side comparison of the 2 programs. This images on the website. So no need to jot it down. But like we talked about it's five terms over 20 months and in a block week format. The first three terms are your core and so these are taught by shared faculty and your accommodations are.
And provided through these 3 terms, so the biggest difference like I mentioned before your core classes for their marriages in Europe are going to be split evenly between Columbia and London for Asia. You will actually spend two of your weeks at London Business School. Too at Columbia. Six of your poor weeks will be completed at Hong Kong University and one will be completed in Shanghai.
And then your last 2 terms are your electives and these you can choose from all 3 schools.
And we will talk in much more depth about all of these topics. Later on in the web and are you will also have one international seminar, which gives you additional global exposure to a country not listed here and there's a variety of teaching methods as you can imagine across the 3:00 schools and but English is the language of instruction at all schools, you will have access to the clear management center.
Add all three of these schools and again, you'll have like, lifelong access to the alumni network for your program.
If you graduate from the Americans in Europe program you will actually be converted to MBAs, one from LB SN1 from CDs. And if you graduate from the Asia program you will earn 1 degree jointly confirmed by all 3 schools.
OK let's go into a little more detail regarding the core curriculum courses. You're going to take in your first three out of 5 terms, the ones that are shown here are actually for the Americans in Europe program if you do global Asia. You'll also add material and negotiations headed real negotiations in capital markets to the core those are electives for America's in Europe.

Does this session cover EMBA NY Weekends?
OK, what is the purpose of a core curriculum well it's going to give you fluency across all basic business functions because as you rise higher in organization to levels of executive leadership. You're expected to be able to speak on and make strategic decisions involving aspects of business outside your individual area of expertise so this gives you that Basic Foundation. Now other things to know when you take the core those first three terms. You'll be taking it with your entire class.
For Americans in Europe that's going to be between 50 and 60 students or global Asia. It's about 40 students. So you're going to be taking all your classes with them doing group work with them living with them in hotel accommodations that are provided and that's going to build a really strong network. That's the basis of your network in the program.
Nicole Shay
12:11:55 PM
Hi Joel, this session will only cover the EMBA-Global program, but you can reach out to learn more about EMBA-NY to me, Nicole, at nw2343@gsb.columbia.edu.
Now, those classes are further broken down to learning teams at 5:00 or 6 People what we do is once you're admitted we hand your application over to the academics team and they take months bring together these learning teams. They make sure that each one has People from different countries different industries. Even different academic skills because they want to make sure that each team has all the strengths needed to help each other learn and get.
Bring with you core together besides your class leak. There is homework. That's done outside of that week and you're going to work together between class weeks, which is always an interesting challenge because you're scattered all over the globe. So lots of skyping conference calls Google Docs, etc. Now if we look down below.

12:13:07 PM
The Hotel Accommodations are provided or that is an extra expense?
Above the blue lines that's the Ember Global America's in Europe. You can see that as Nicole mentioned you're going to be going back and forth between London Business School one month. The next month. Columbia back and forth. So you'll be experiencing both cities under that pink line on the locations for Ember Global Asia and as you can see out of the 11 coral weeks 6:00 or at Hong Kong 2 in London, 2 in New York and one in Shanghai.
And your faculty Nicole mentioned that it's a shared faculty so have your courses will be from one school have from the other for instance, when you're in New York your London or Hong Kong faculty will also be here in New York. So you really get to know them. There's a lot of access to these.
Nicole Shay
12:13:32 PM
Hotel accommodations are provided for the first three of five terms.
Renown thought leaders because you're traveling and living together. This is really immersive program that allows you to dive into almost a full time student experience without interrupting your career. So to further dive down. We're going to look at an actual class schedule for core curriculum block week.
There's a lot of different courses that you're going to take different courses. This one is corporate finance decision. Models marketing strategy and operations management. So you're here or London or Hong Kong, taking the explore different classes and buy a week. What we really mean is usually 4 days. But we say we could you have to factor in?
Travel time on either end.
Now all meals are provided. We don't list it there. But if you're up early enough. We have breakfast before the first class of the day. Then there's lunch afternoon snack. Lots of tea and coffee because as you can see it's a long day. That's probably the biggest take away from this slide when you're here, you're going to be in Class 3. Three hour classes a day and that's not all because as you can see in between classes like during the lunch period, we usually have speakers.
That you can grab your lunch and go sit and listen to speaker. You can see the actual speakers from that week listed on the right there little Browder from Hermitage Capital Management etc.
And if you'll see the first day before classes start. There's always optional career coaching workshops and other social events. So it's really a rich program for you.
And then I'll dive into what it looks like as you move into your 4th and 5th terms and you start your elective courses and the structure will change in your schedule becomes more flexibel. This allows you to broaden your network in which ever saying, you'd like?
So, in some ways, it's the same as your core flights are not included throughout the program but your meals are included like Susan said breakfast lunch and snack? What is different about these final 2 terms is that accommodations are provided the way they are in your first three terms during your core classes. The reason that is, is because you choose where and when you study and so you might be completing your work classes.
On a different format continue to study at different campuses, so if you live near Columbia Business School, where you live in London. You have the option of taking classes.
In entirely in any of the 3 cities, but at CD S&L. BS you, also have the option of taking classes in other time formats such as the weekend formats so if you wanted to complete your classes on every other Friday format or every Saturday format. You have the option to do that. If you continue to follow the black week format. It works, a little differently because unlike the quarters.
When you're taking 4 different classes and rotation throughout the week, which is what Susan just showed you during the elective terms. You spend the entire week, taking just one class, which is completed at the end of the week. So it's really fantastic. You kind of get to take a deep dive into a topic spend an entire week with a professor in a class and then you've completed 3 credits by the end of that week and the This is an incredible opportunity to also.
Mixed with students from other programs outside of Ember global so you might find you know other embus students from the universities in your classes and in some of the programs there might be 1 or 2 full time students and so these really fantastic and diverse perspectives that you'll gain through your elective course work.
Like I mentioned before every student will be required to complete an international assignment or seminar. So this is an required elective but it's often times the highlight of the program. For every student. I've heard so many students say that this is kind of the turning point where they really recognize you know how.
How global business works? How fantastic their network of classmates are and because you are picking and choosing your seminar you will often find yourself joined by other.
And the students so it is roughly one week. It's a combination of class time corporate visits hearing from local guest speakers and cultural cultural and social activities to it allows you to meet an bond with students from our programs across all three of the schools.
And each location has a specific focus so there's typically you know quite a few cities that you can choose from. A few great examples and there's Cape Town, where the focus is entrepreneurship. Both small and large scale. There is a trip to Beijing and Shanghai and where you will learn about doing business in China are really popular. One is Munich, where you learn about branding.
But it also happens to overlap with Oktoberfest in students. Find kind of this cultural experience specifically a lot of fun.
Accommodations are provided for this experience, even though it will likely take place in your 4th or 5th term and that is included in your tuition again just like the rest of the program. You were going to be responsible for flights. You will have the opportunity to take a second international seminar. If you like it's completely optional, but it will require an additional.
Great, thanks, Nicole talked a bit about the academic content career management aspect of the program.
Maria Petrova
12:20:49 PM
Do international applicants need to submit IELTS (TOEFL) certificates?
You will have access to the career management staff at all three of the schools, so you know, depending on where you want your career focus you can.
Get to know that team the best and within our career Management Center. We have a team of professionals who work exclusively with the end of population because they understand that your needs in terms of career development are going to be different from those about full time MBA candidates. Emba students you're generally focused more on long-term career advancement rather than.
Wanting to switch to a new job that's a big 180 degree career change.
To be honest, Amber is not really designed for these huge changes in both industry and function that can be difficult be cause. You're going to be working full time throughout the program. There's no opportunity to do an internship.
However, That being said, We do see Gosh. I'm just guessing here. I'm gonna say. Maybe about 40% of our global students do pivot or make unexpected changes in their careers because suddenly they're exposed to new ideas and new People. A lot of opportunities coming away as part of this program and your classmates actually are going to be one of his desk resources. I've heard a lot of along I talk about a career ship.
They made because someone they worked with in their learning team or class saw what a great fit. They would be for their own companies. But you also have a career advisor from Career Management Center.

12:23:02 PM
Just joined. thank you for the info session. For clarity, did you say all classes for both core and elective courses can be taken from one school, e.g. LBS if I am based in London?
Figure out the direction you wanna go in and then lay the foundation for your professional advancement as I mentioned on that slide showing you the courses that would be taking a class week lunch time that is when you would want to attend. These workshops or meet with Grill Management. They have lots of workshops, some for instance, are on networking skills. They also will work with you individually to review your CV help you home that.
Help you put together a really impactful elevator pitch, they'll even if you are actually looking for a job. They can do mock interviews film. You critique you help you really have that interviewing skill and they can definitely offer guidance on salary negotiation and importantly, they're going to help you navigate our alumni database to make those all important connections for your next steps in your career and even if you're not looking to switch jobs right now.
Nicole Shay
12:23:49 PM
Your core classes are going to be split between CBS and LBS for the A&E program. Electives are more flexible and can be taken all in a single city.
Clear management center is a great resource for general professional development like I said they offer tons of workshops summer on things like time management delegation conflict in the workplace skills that you can use right now in your current job.
Morgana Wingard
12:24:09 PM
Can we cover our own accommodation in the international seminars if we want?
And because they understand how busy you are, they make themselves available. Not only during lunch breaks and on the day prior to the start classes but there available on the Phone over Skype. Those weeks when you're not in class. You can connect with them as well. They're very flexible in their time because they understand that. That's a requirement for People doing this program. There are also lots of on line resources that you can leverage as well.
Alright let's talk a little bit about the admissions process.
What are we looking for? What candidates would be a good fit for Ember Global?
Nicole Shay
12:25:03 PM
Morgana, you can arrange your own accommodation however, you will not receive any discount on tuition.
Well, first of all I want to emphasize that full time employment is requirement for Ember Global. You stay in your career. You keep moving forward, so you're working full time and if you're an entrepreneur or freelance consultant that that's fine. But we consider that full time employment as well.
So think about it are you someone who hasn't transnational bowl or ambitions in that direction. 'cause this is what differentiates Amber Global from our other ember programs and the global students have either already worked across borders or perhaps there, heading in that direction. Maybe your farm is expanding internationally and you're looking to set yourself up for success by being more global network in mindset.
Our students also have management experience, but we have a pretty broad definition of what that means obviously can be managing People and teams but it can also mean managing budgets processes projects In other words, you need some sort of decision making role demonstrated leadership. We are looking for People who have had upward career growth.
Now the next point to touch on which is really important is is this feasible for you. The The Block Week format in the travel schedule for that you're going to have to start discussions with your employers early in the process. Make sure that it's something that they would approve of and support.
Actually, part of the application is a time sponsorship letter from your company stating that they are aware of the schedule and they will release you for class time and then also very importantly, you wanna discuss this with your partner your spouse your family, friends, you're going to need thereby in and support.
And the other thing to really think about. I mean, this challenging you're going to be traveling. You're going to be working full time you're going to school need to do some self reflection and decide am I really motivated enough to do this. It is challenging takes a big commitment. You need to really want it because it's your enthusiasm as well as the support and enthusiasm of your classmates. That's going to help you get through and really make the most of it.
I also want to mention that you need to be fluent in English that is the language of instruction across both and the global Americans in Europe and in the global Asia. Other languages are not required, though, honestly, most of our global students do speak several languages. But it's not a requirement.
And over on the right there. Finally, I want to just point out the class profiles and one of our most recent classes that X think that's actually the class that entered in May 2018. It's a combination of both Americans in Europe and Asia number of students average years of work experience 26% women, 32% countries represented it's really a very diverse students.
So I'm gonna take this opportunity to plug the fantastic website. I would encourage anyone who's interested in just learning a little bit more about the experience to to head to the website and kind of really quick around one thing that you will be able to find is student directories with students from the last several years and this will provide more detail on the industries companies and locations are students have come from.
It should be no surprise that the finances at the Top with about 33% of our students coming from that industry. Our schools are located in financial capitals. So we attract candidates with financial backgrounds, so like I said about 1/3 of the classes from finance about more than 60% are from a wide variety of other industries as you can see here this allows you to gain.
Different perspectives both industries and cultures.
King new ways of approaching challenges.
Uhm this is also something you should be thinking about as you go through the admissions process. What will I add to the class? What perspectives do I have to share and how the class benefit from my background.
Sagar Samaria
12:29:39 PM
Hi just curious, Can we choose electives from the courses offered for full time candidates?
Great, thanks to cool. We talked about the benefits of our partnership. We've talked about the logistics and excited about them later.
Let's get started the first thing that I want to emphasize is that this is a holistic process. We want to get to know you in all your aspects professionally academically personally. There are no minimum scores or grades or years of work experience. There's no quotas. There's no cut offs.
In general and the global students are go further along in their career like I said they already had some management experience, but we don't have hard and fast.
Rules about what you have to have achieved already to enter the program. If this is something you think that would be beneficial to you and you have something to contribute were interested in talking to you about it. It is a rigorous program so we do want to feel confident that you can manage the academics, but what we emphasised most when we're evaluating candidates is your professional achievement. Your work experience. We look for substantial work experience that's international in nature.
Nicole Shay
12:30:52 PM
Sagar, I am not entirely sure about LBS and HKU, but if you choose to take electives at CBS you will have the opportunity to register for courses offered for full time candidates, as long as your work schedule allows.
So at the Top let's start with essays, there are 3 essays.
And really what you have to do is some self reflection about why you wanna do this program if you do that for yourself.
You're going to be able to write a great asset. One is basically why do you wanna do this particular program? How is it going to help you achieve your goals?
Judith Salas Chapilliquen
12:31:51 PM
Good morning! Greetings from Peru. Does it mean that candidates for finance have more chances to get accepted? My background is operation...
The 3rd essay is how do you embody a global leader and here we're looking for more of a personal response as opposed to a professional we can see your professional experience and goals elsewhere. Here we want to get to know you as a person and why particularly an international program.
So I would focus on that NSA 3 next. We do require 2 references professional in nature prefer to get one from your current supervisor.
And when you're talking to your references. I would have a conversation tell them what it is, you want to do? What your goals are why you have a global focus. We want to hear from them. What your impact in your place is Ben. What career potential they see in you. I think I've already talked about international ambitions and how important that is so I'm going to skip down to scores and texts.
Nicole Shay
12:33:07 PM
Judith, it does not mean those coming from finance have a great chance of being admitted. This figure tends to reflect the candidate pool overall. More candidates apply from finance which is why we see that larger number. We are always looking for a diverse set of backgrounds!
This is the aspect of the application that People are usually most anxious about. We do require a test. We do not grant test labours. Everybody who's flying has to take one of these tests.
Ronald Willis
12:33:17 PM
Can any of the elective courses be completed online?
The reason for the test there. Several one we have this philosophy of one MBA so that our MBA programs are just as academically rigorous as all full time MBA and therefore we need to have consistent requirements across all our programs.
Also to do this program. It really takes a strong commitment and taking a test really prepares you for what it's going to be like when your student you have to set aside time on a regular basis to focus on study so it sort of ushers you into that student mindset.
Nicole Shay
12:34:07 PM
Hi Ronald, we do not offer any online courses.
But again, I want to emphasize I can't say this enough what we weigh most heavily application is work experience so don't stress out, too much about the test what we use it. For is to get a sense of your baseline academic strengths and weaknesses and this is what we use largely in putting together the learning team to make sure that there's a balance of skills on each team now.
To get into specifics, we accept IB with Jim at the GRE or the executive assessment. EA we have no preference at also take the test that you're most comfortable with all of these tests are valid for 5 years, so if you've already taken one and it still within 5 years great you're done.
But if you have not taken, it test. I would really encourage you to take a look at the executive assessment in a minute. I'm going to give you a URL to go. Find out details about this how to pen and paper.
Fiona Bingjun Li
12:34:52 PM
Hi. Is GMAT / GRE / EA can be waived if the candidate has more than 15 years working experience?
The EA executive assessment. It's designed specifically for Ember. It focuses on integrated reasoning critical thinking problem solving the skills. You're already using the workplace. There is no geometry. It's not really about spending months memorizing things. It's only 9 minutes in length versus 4 hours for the other tests and it's designed to be taken with minimal preparation, most successful applicants say they spend.
Nicole Shay
12:35:17 PM
Hi Fiona, we do not offer GMAT/GRE/EA waivers.
Between 10 to 20 hours prepping for the test as opposed to the many months. You might want to spend to prep for the gym at so why were you I would go to www.gmac.com/ea for details on this and test prep materials.
Josselin Lucas
12:35:49 PM
do you have specific requirements for the EA results?
Lance Beverly
12:35:55 PM
Aside from the international vs. domestic differences, are there any other notable differences between EMBA-Americas and EMBA-Global? They seem to be pretty similar - in terms of the length, block format, and courses - aside from the global component (which is obviously a major difference).
Now movie on we do require Co sponsorship. But what we need is time sponsorship. We need a letter from your employer confirming that they understand what the schedule is and they will give you time off the class and you will receive your full salary. That sort of to protect you now right now. If you go to our website. We still have the calendar. For last years entering class. The group that came in. In May 2019. This will give you a sense of what the schedule is like.
We should be posting the dates for the May 2020 entering class in the next month or so, but it's helpful to have those dates in mind when you're having your conversation with your employer and again. I want to emphasize that financial sponsorship is not required if you can obtain a death rate from you but it's not something we require for admission.
Actually, if you are on our website go to the fees page. There's a sample business case, there to help guide the conversation with your employer. It can be useful for financial sponsorship, but also time sponsorship. I think it's a good starting point next. We do want to receive official transcripts from any degree granting program that you completed we want to see how you performed academically and finally once all of.
These pieces have been submitted your application is complete. We will it were interested in admitting you we will invite you to interview?
Nicole Shay
12:37:35 PM
Lance, other than what you mentioned, there isn't a giant difference between the two, but I'd be happy to talk more about this in detail. You can email me at nw2343@gsb.columbia.edu to set up a time to talk.
Now we have a rolling admissions process and what I mean by that is, we don't wait to the deadline to review all the applications and make decisions that as applications come in. We're reading them reviewing them rendering decisions and filling the classes. We go so once your application is complete, you'll hear from us within 6 weeks. Whether you're being invited to interview and like I said, everyone that we're thinking of admitting we invite for an interview.
Now, depending on where you are located one of the schools will take the lead and processing your application and will conduct the interview on their campus. If you're applying to Global America's and Europe. Columbia and London Business School sort split the world in.
Josselin Lucas
12:38:17 PM
As for non-US citizens and non-US residents, travelling back and forth between Europe ans the U.S., is it required to get a student visa? Can you issue the required documents for this purpose?
Columbia will process applications for anyone who lives in the Americas Asia, Australia, New Zealand or the Caribbean, while London Business School is going to manage the applications for anyone applying from Europe, Africa in the Middle East and the interviews would take place on those schools campuses. If you're applying to Asia, Hong Kong University processes. The applications and there.
At one of the other schools, then that can be arranged. We want to make this as easy as possible for you and just so you understand admissions decisions are made jointly by all of the schools. But once school is managing the process and interviewing you all of the schools will ultimately read your application read the interview report and we have a weekly Phone conference in which we discuss applicants so once that interview takes place you will receive the final decision within 2 weeks.
Alright moving on to a very important topic here fees and financial aid. Just a reminder in this is listed on our website be fee for students entering in book global at America's in Europe.
I'm gonna call that many it's just easier to say if you're entering global anti. In May 2020. The total tuition and fees will be 200 and one $1720 for students entering Asia in May 2020, will be 189 thousand $600.
It also covers the cost of tutoring in the quantitative quote classes. If that something would take advantage of it covers accommodations during the core curriculum. The first three terms and it covers accommodations during your one required international seminar. It also covers breakfast lunch afternoon snack throughout the program. But it does not cover or your flights and it does not cover accommodations during the last 2 turns where you're doing electives.
Rawan Azar
12:40:58 PM
could you please re-share the website for preparing for the EA?
We do have need based financial aid available primarily in the form of loans, the financial aid office at the school. That's processing your application will be happy to offer guidance. You have individual questions their contact information is posted on our website. Most of our students cover the cost of the program through a combination of loans, personal savings and full or partial employer support and I would encourage you to ask your employer about the possibility of financial support.
Nicole Shay
12:41:10 PM
gmac.com/ea
Even if they don't have a president for that it, it doesn't hurt to ask you're going to have to talk with them to obtain time sponsorship already so you might as well. Bring the financial sponsorship into the conversation and again. I would refer you to the downloadable business case on our website that contains tips for this conversation because it's not just a benefit for you, but you're doing this program can also be a benefit for your company.
Almost near the end next steps.
You should also start developing your business case, and prepare for that discussion with your employer look into your test options start prepping again. I would encourage the executive assessment, not because we'd prefer it.
Now on the lower right we list. The application deadlines for both of our global programs. The final deadline for each is in the spring, but we do include these earlier dates as sort of goal posts to help you set your sights on a specific date and motivate you because keep in mind. We have a lowly admissions process with filling the glass as we go so applying earlier in the cycle is always here advantage don't wait for the final deadline. Get your application in.
OK, remember I mentioned the email addresses down on the lower left there. If you're not sure whether you're right for the program since your CB for review. The email address for Americas in Europe is the Top one for Amber Global Asia is the bottom one send those off and will get back to you and finally I'm wondering if we have any questions.
Yes, so there are definitely a couple of questions. Some of which you might have already answered but there's so much information. So it can be tough to take it all in so some of them will be a reiteration but.
There was a question too. We require the total or Isles test for this application.
That's a great question, I'm sorry. I didn't state that we should put that on this slide. Yes, if your native language is not English and then you do require it couple of exceptions. If you attended a degree granting program where English was the language of instruction, then you don't have to take the job awhile.
Also, if you have lived and worked in a English language country or 2 years or more. That's another reason we would waive that requirement.
Thank you and then you know, I got a couple of follow up questions about EA gmat **** Ari waivers for folks who have a Masters for folks who have 15 years of work experience and so you know, I think that Susan discuss a little bit about you know why we don't accept waivers. But we don't accept waivers for any student regardless at this scenario. We want to make sure that you are committed to joining the program and this is a really great indication to us.
That you are excited to kind of continue your education moving forward.
I also wanna jump in and emphasize.
Take a look at the executive assessment. It honestly is designed to be taken with very little preparation. What we want to do is just see where your at now, so we know where to place you tend to 20 hours is all it takes in terms of Revelation.
I think People also always want to know what we are looking for in terms of the score. I do want to emphasize we have no specific minimum requirement were just.
Getting a general idea of your strengths, but we tell People if they're taking the executive assessment.
To aim for score somewhere between the high one 40s and mid one 50s. That's the range. We generally see. And if you are taking the G. Matt we tell People to Amber score of 600 or higher. If you take the GRE basically what you do is Google. Convert Greg Matt on the web on Google and that will show you what your Jerry score equals innogy net and see if it's in that 6.
Under this week, but there are so many exceptions to these numbers. Honestly, I can't say this enough what we weigh most heavily is your work experience.
There was another specific question kind of related to this with the ild Sir. Pte is a one year. Masters in the UK sufficient to that be exempt from the test.
And then there was a question, we have.
So As for non US citizens and non US residents traveling back and forth between Europe and the US is it required to get a student Visa and can you issue the rupen reissue the required documents for those purpose? Yes, if you're doing this program?
About speaking from the US visa perspective, you're going to need an F1 Student Visa and we have an office here. At Club University. It's called ISEISSO international students and scholars office and they will help you to obtain this documents. I would emphasize this is another really great reason to apply earlier in the cycle because depending on where you're from it can take a long time to go through the whole visa process and it can be very stressful.
If you get admitted to the very end and can't get that visa fast enough. But yes, we could definitely help you with that.
And just an aside I did put the gimc yay.
You are out into the chat box for those of you who want to read more about it.
There are questions about you know. In addition to loans and financial aid from the possibly your own company are there opportunities for scholarships and I'll let you expand upon this, but I think that the answer? Is there may be and we just don't know at this time, we're working to confirm whether their internal scholarships that will be available for folks applying to either program.
Yes, that's another great question.
Last year was actually the first time that we offered a small amount of scholarships. We were able to find the funding to do that. They were not huge they were maybe 20,000 to 30,000 was not for a large number of students. But we did have some available and we expect that we're going to be able to do something similar. This fear but we have not yet confirmed the details so that's basically the most I can say we will once everything gets.
Turned up will place those details on our website.
There are certainly a lot of questions and we won't be able to get to all of them so I do apologize in advance but I have shared my information. The emails emails on the screen here that you can reach out to specific questions.
Being in Manhattan, where you wouldn't know that these things are going on, you don't you have no idea unless you were to specifically go to that location, and then take part in that, but otherwise you would have no idea that these protests are going on. And so it hasn't in any way impacted classes or I can tell you from experience travel any country.
There is also a question about any merit to having both the Gina and the EA absolutely not. Definitely don't send me extra time to take more than one test like Susan mentioned is probably.
Another interesting question is, it possible to apply for both the global America and Europe program and the m'bow Friday, Saturday program and the answer is that you cannot apply to 2 programs concurrently. You could apply for the global any program. And once you receive your admissions decision regarding that program, you can then either if admitted enroll or withdraw your application.
Then you, you could have.
Received a decision once you've received that decision. You can then go and apply for Amber Friday, Saturday and so.
You can have 2 applications open concurrently. But once you receive a decision for one, you can go ahead and apply for the other if you so desire.
A question about whether this will be shared so there's a recorded version of this on our website already likely we will replace that one with this recording. However, this deck is already available and boarded events link on our website.
I think that that is all the time that we have this afternoon. You know, Susan and I want to thank each and everyone of you for taking the time out, no matter where you are in the globe to kind of learn more about the program and like we said. We will be sending you an email shortly with both of our contact information in there never hesitate to reach out to ask additional questions and learn more on the website. You'll see different events across the globe.
3 cities, so if you'd like finding something that suits you so that you can meet members of the team whether at CVS or in person so thank you guys again. Thank you.
Some of that I love that one.

And maybe they know somebody Cape Town or something.
It's not like the full time.
It's a very clear this often takes some time, but we refer them to.
To the Financial Times rankings of which we feel our methodology published.
The course performed strongly on the dimensions considered most important to about Microsoft.
Were there any questions like did ask that you were OK?
I was just listening to a podcast this morning with their saying some flights are being cancelled.
The room, they could get us with a little bit smaller than we wanted, but I think if we gave them more time.
We do here I assume we do elsewhere.
It's also shared link with recording.
And then I answered like some.
Difference between America.
Similar than my head and then what I'm talking about.
Nice I'm not entirely sure that orange.
